The national park system of Australia is maintained by Environment Australia, with the execption of the Great Barrier Reef, which is managed by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.

NOTE - this is only a small portion of the quote of national parks in Australia. Each state is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the parks within its boundaries. Environment Australia is responsible only for the Commonwealth and off-shore parks eg. in the Northern Territory, the ACT (Australian Capital Territory), the Cocos-Keeling Islands Territory, the Christmas Island Territory, and finally the Norfolk Island Territory.
