Dalton's character was fist-fought over by James Garner and Clint Eastwood in the "Duel at Sundown" episode of Maverick. She played a nurse on Hennesey with Jackie Cooper and portrayed Joey Bishop's wife on The Joey Bishop Show, a situation comedy on NBC and CBS from 1961–65. She was also a semi-regular panelist on Match Game and appeared in the early years of Hollywood Squares but did not appear in later years.
She is the mother of Kathleen Kinmont and her former sons-in-law are Jere Burns and Lorenzo Lamas (who had played her son on Falcon Crest).
