The African Legion Road Race is an annual 50 km road race held on 4 May in Melilla, Spain since 2012. In 2023, the race achieved its historical record of participants, up to 2,500.[1][2]

Route

The route, currently 50 kilometres long Racewalking, 25 kilometres long Racewalking, 75 kilometres long MTB and 2 kilometres long Mini African, runs through the streets of Melilla, usually starting in Melilla la Vieja. The finish line is usually located near the Melilla City Hall in the Plaza de las Culturas.[3]

Participation

The race has reached more than 2,500 participants in recent editions, including adults and minors.[4]

Registration cost

The number has a price of 25 euros for adults and 10 for minors.[5]
