History

[edit]

On May 17 2019, for the first time ever Bangladeshi Football Ultras came forward with a group of 170 members against Nepal to cheer for the Bangladesh national football team.[6]

They wear black attire, and they are identifiable by their behavioral tendencies, which include singing football chants, playing musical instruments such as drums, and using flares and smoke bombs, vocal support in large groups and display of the flag and banner across galleries in the stadiums. Now their registered members are over 10000.[7]

Activities

[edit]

Justice for women footballer

[edit]

Krishna Rani Sarkar, one of the heroes of Bangladesh women's football Awakening, Mahfuza Akhter said to give a show-cause notice to the government for expressing frustration on Facebook.During the match between Bangladesh and Chinese Taipei on Friday, this statement was made by the popular organizer who managed women's football according to his own will.BFF's decision to take action against a key player without proper treatment for nearly two years was ill-advised by football fans. Bangladeshi Football Ultras, who have recently received wide acclaim as Bangladesh Football Team's supporters group in the gallery, have issued a counter-ultimatum to BFF in response to its decision.[8]

Protest against Salahuddin

[edit]

Bangladeshi Football Ultras has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to Kazi Salahuddin. Media reports suggest that several members of the Ultras have already delivered a written letter to the BFF headquarters.[9]

Anti-discrimination Students Movement

[edit]

During Anti-discrimination Students Movement, Students are carrying out new programs to protest against 'student killings, shootings, assaults and lawsuits' around the quota reform movement. In solidarity with their demands, Bangladesh Football's crazy supporter group Bangladeshi Football Ultras has entered the field. They entered the field with an official announcement from yesterday. Majority of the 5-7 thousand members of Ultras group are students. From the beginning of the movement, they were involved in the student movement for the right of every educational institution. When this student movement turned into a student movement around the country, all of the Ultras family joined the movement for their rights in solidarity with the masses.[10]
