Chondrolysis

Chondrolysis [ICD Code M94.3] refers to the process of breakdown of cartilage. It can occur due to effect of various anesthetic agents like bupivacaine, lidocaine, ropivacaine and levobupivacaine are all toxic to cartilage and their intra-articular infusions can lead to this toxic effect.[1]
