Maltose-binding protein from Escherichia coli, in complex with maltotriitol (a reduced sugar similar to maltotriose), in the closed conformation. The protein is shown with helices in blue and beta-sheets in yellow, with the maltotriitol ligand shown as red spheres. Rendered using PyMol from PDB 1FQC.
