Summary

Description

Photograph of British 8 inch howitzer Mk VI which has slid off the road into a ditch while being towed by a Holt tractor, Western Front, World War I.

Comment : The presence of ANZAC troops with their distinctive hats and looser-fitting jackets indicates this is probably of the Australian 1st Siege Artillery Battery.
