A silvered copper alloy Indian temple token (Ramatanka),
Description
English: A silvered copper alloy Indian temple token (Ramatanka), 19th-20th century. The obverse depicts Kali Mata and the reverse Krishna Radha. These tokens were used as Hindu festive gifts and votive offerings at temples. After the mid 19th century temple tokens were commercially produced and sold to devotees at pilgrim sites. Diameter: 29mm, weight: 9.78g.
