Summary

Description Abert’s squirrels are found in Utah only in the southeastern part of the state in association with ponderosa pine forests. Squirrels eat ponderosa pine seeds, twigs and the fungi that grows on pine roots. They are colorful but quiet squirrels, and have distinctive long ear tufts.
