  • Deutsch: Adolph Friedrich Vollmer. Es handelt sich hier um eine retouchierte Kopie einer Daguerreotypie von Hermann Biow; die Kopie wurde im Atelier Willy Wilcke zu Hamburg um 1890-1900 angefertigt. Nach Vollmers Alter, ca. 35 bis 40 zu schätzen, datiert die Daguerreotypie von 1846 oder früher; sie ist somit eine der frühesten kommerziellen Fotographien.
  • English: Adolph Friedrich Vollmer. A late 19th century copy of a daguerreotype by Hermann Biow, who opened the earliest commercial photographic studio in Hamburg in 1841. Vollmer’s age of ca. 35-40 dates the original to 1846 or earlier.
