English: Ang Khang Royl Agricultural Station is established on Doi Ang Khang located in the Fang District, in Chiang Mai province. It is the first station that operates as a project under the royal moot according to the policy of the Royal Project.
-The Royal Project was established in B.E. 2512 (1969). His Majesty the King donated personal property to the hill tribes so that they could stop growing opium and turn to grow temperate plants instead. In B.E. 2535 (1992) His Majesty the King ordered the establishment of the Royal Project Foundation. There are 6 research stations, 28 Royal Project Development Centers and 3 factories to produce delicatessens. In winter the temperature in the Doi Ang Khang area is as low as at -7C. With cold weather for a long period of time and beautiful views and comfortable accommodation it is very popular among tourists.
