Summary

Description
English: Flooding of the waterfront area of Burlington, Iowa after temporary flood barriers failed the preceding afternoon, as seen from US 34 on the west approach to the Great River Bridge. The sand-filled Hesco Barriers in the foreground are stacked 2 levels high except at the uphill end near the lower center of the photo; the point of failure was to the south, in the far distance from this vantage point.
