Bahasa Indonesia: Bus TransJakarta adalah bus sistem transportasi Bus Rapid Transit pertama di asia tenggara dan selatan yang beroperasi sejak tahun 2004 di Jakarta, Indonesia.
Ide pembangunan proyek Bus Rapid Transit di Jakarta muncul sekitar tahun 2001. Kemudian ide ini ditindaklanjuti oleh Gubernur DKI Jakarta saat itu, Sutiyoso. Sebuah institut bernama Institute for Transportation & Development Policy (ITDP) menjadi pihak penting yang mengiringi proses perencanaan proyek ini. Konsep awal dibuat oleh PT Pamintori Cipta, sebuah konsultan transportasi yang sudah sering bekerjasama dengan Dinas Perhubungan DKI Jakarta. Jalur lintasan Bus Transjakarta sepanjang 230,9 km dan jalur ini termasuk terpanjang di dunia, dan memiliki 243 halte.English: TransJakarta Bus is the first Bus Rapid Transit transportation system bus in Southeast and South Asia which has been operating since 2004 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The idea of building a Bus Rapid Transit project in Jakarta emerged around 2001. Then this idea was followed up by the then Governor of DKI Jakarta, Sutiyoso. An institute called the Institute for Transportation & Development Policy (ITDP) became an important party accompanying the planning process of this project. The initial concept was created by PT Pamintori Cipta, a transportation consultant who has often collaborated with the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency. The Transjakarta Bus line is 230.9 km long and this line is the longest in the world, and has 243 bus stops. |
