Summary

Description
English: A monument erected at the Gyokusenji temple in Shimoda, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. According to an English sign: "This monument, erected in 1931 by the butchers of Tokyo, marks the spot Where the first cow in Japan was slaughtered for human consumption. (Eaten by Harris and Heusken)". I took this photo with a digital camera on 24th February 2007.
