Summary

Description
English: Circa 1970s 'High Performance' 'round' elliptical canopy notably showing its 5 rear vents to give it forward drive, and in the middle of the suspension lines, the 2 thick centre lines pulling down the apex. Compared to today's ubiquitous ram air 'square' canopies, the performance is sadly lacking, but the canopies these replaced from the mid-1960s to late '70s were even worse - usually modified round military canopies (commonly called conventional canopies or "cheapos"). This is a Niagara Parachutes 'Cobra' and the image is cropped 16:9.
