National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty
Location
England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Historically, the trust tended to focus on English country houses, which still make up the largest part of its holdings, but it also protects historic landscapes such as in the Lake District, historic urban properties, and nature reserves.

Notes
The Cobbe portrait is on display at Hatchlands Park, the National Trust property in Surrey, England. According to the guidebook published by the Cobbe Collection Trust and the National Trust, it was at one time mistakenly thought to be the portrait of a woman.
