La Asamblea Legislativa del Distrito Federal, otorgó a diferentes personalidades la Medalla al Mérito en Artes, entre los que se encuentra: los escritores Héctor Aguilar Camín, Héctor de Mauleón; a los artistas plásticos Manuel Felguérez, Marta Chapa y Adriana Argelia Ramírez Labastida, esta última con síndrome Down; a los fotógrafos Francisco Mata Rosas, Pedro Valtierra; al director de orquesta Enrique Diemecke; al arquitecto Javier Sordo Madaleno; a la promotora de la lectura Paloma Sainz; así como a artista José Luis Cuevas y el arquitecto Teodoro González de León in memoria, y a los grupos Maldita Vecindad, Panteón Rococó y Los Ángeles Azules.
