DescriptionGranish Ring -Cairn, (Loch na Carraigean) - geograph.org.uk - 1492871.jpg
English: Granish Ring -Cairn, (Loch na Carraigean), near to Granish, Highland, Great Britain.
This neolithic ring-cairn lies between the main railway line and the loch, a glimpse of which can be seen in the background. The internal diameter is 17.6 metres and it is ringed by large flat surfaced kerb stones as seen in the photo. Originally there was an outer ring of standing stones of which three fallen stones remain. A small burial chamber can be seen amidst the stones within the cairn. The large Scots Pine growing in the centre of the site adds to its character.
