English: Directly joining the Farmhouse is the The Greubel Forsey manufacture was,designed by architect Pierre Studer and houses the watchmaking ateliers and production and design departments. Symbolically rising from the ground, the distinctive ecologically-friendly construction is topped by a sloping grass roof, especially conceived with the creation and realisation of Greubel Forsey’s timepieces in mind. The building’s facades are comprised of a double glass skin that creates a natural thermal buffer. In summer, air is evacuated upwards, creating a cooling breeze, while in winter, air is trapped to serve as an insulator. Inside, exposed concrete has been chosen for its thermal stability to minimise wide changes in temperature. Abundant natural light enters through both the outer facades and the long central skylight into the workspaces and central atrium.
