Summary

Description
English: This is what an IPS liquid crystal panel looks like close-up, with the backlight and surrounding bezel removed. The top left region is the RGB LCD cells, each tuple forming a pixel; on the right hand side, you can see the column drivers (the LCD is in "portrait" orientation in this photo). Along the bottom you can see the row wires, as well as the edge of the glass substrate upon which the cell was fabricated. The copper-colored wires are fabricated of metal, and the light green lines are silicon deposited on the glass.
