Description
English: Peter Kollwitz (1896–1914), youngest son of Karl Kollwitz (1863–1940, née Johannes Carl August Kollwitz) and Käthe Kollwitz (1867–1945), née Schmidt. The picture was probably made at the infantry training area of Wünsdorf south from Berlin. On October 12, 1914, there he said goodbye to his mother leaving to the Western front.
Deutsch: Peter Kollwitz (1896–1914), der jüngste Sohn von Karl Kollwitz (1863–1940) und Käthe Kollwitz (1867–1945). Die Aufnahme ist vermutlich auf dem Truppenübungsplatz Wünsdorf südlich von Berlin entstanden. Am 12. Oktober 1914 verabschiedete er sich dort von seiner Mutter an die Westfront.
Nederlands: Peter Kollwitz (1896-1914), de jongste zoon van Karl Kollwitz (1863–1940) en Käthe Kollwitz (1867–1945). De opname is waarschijnlijk gemaakt op het infanterie oefenterrein Wünsdorf ten zuijden van Berlijn. Op 12 oktober 1914 nam hij afscheid van zijn moeder aan de westelijke voorkant.

Author unknown; possibly one of his close friends and regiment comrades like Erich Krems (1898–1916), they all died in WWI. Just one survived: Hans Koch (1897–1995).
