Description
English: On the wall, evocation of the 5th division of the Book of Gates: the court of Osiris. The Horemheb sarcophagus is made of red granite. The sides are decorated with the 4 sons of Horus and other deities. The corners of the sarcophagus are occupied by the protective deities with outstretched wings: Isis, Nephthys, Neith and Selkis. Horemheb was the last pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty. He restored the cult of Amun by trying to erase all traces of Tutankhamun's predecessor, his father Amenophis IV: Akhenaten.
