Summary

Description

This box car was built in 1901 for freight use by the Marquette & South Eastern Railroad in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. That railroad was later merged into the Lake Superior & Ishpeming Railroad. Its use as a freight car ceased in the 1960s. This car is now part of the Mid-Continent Railway Museum collection in the town of North Freedom, Wisconsin.
