Summary

Description
English: Originally installed on the north end of Market Street in Chehalis near the train depot, the stump was to be used by President William McKinley. Utilized instead by Teddy Roosevelt, and other dignitaries in the early 20th century, it was moved to Recreation Park where it suffered severe rot and damages from carpenter ants. A replica was built and is housed outside the Lewis County Historical Museum in Chehalis, near the original stump's location.
