The monument was commissioned by Capt. Thomas Benton Neal (1838 - 1902) in memory of his daughter Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Neal (1867 - June 17, 1889) and wife Mary "Mollie" Cash Neal (1844 - 1894). [1][2][3] [4]
