Summary

Description

Beautifully carved Mangbetu harp which I have been holding in my collection for the past 15 years. See images for detail and condition. Vermin damage to the skin and other marks are part of its African history. the white mark is paper that has been pasted to it when I purchased. The stem is blackened wood and possibly ebony wood although I have not tested it. I do think it has some age. Measures 65 x 40 x 20cm. AUD 2.500
