DescriptionPortswood railway station (site), Hampshire (geograph 4305908).jpg
English: Portswood railway station (site), Hampshire Opened in 1861 by the London & South Western Railway on the line from Winchester to Southampton, this station was closed in 1866 when it was replaced by the current St Denys station (which itself was called Portswood until 1876), some 400m further south.
View north towards the site of Portswood station, from St Denys. It isn't certain whether the platforms were north or south of the modern A3035 bridge.
