English: Cartoon from the Lantern newspaper, Cape Town, by Charles J Barber ("Skit"). The eastern province's feeling of neglect, even by the British Governor Bartle Frere, are shown in this 1878 cartoon by the pro-imperialist Lantern newspaper.
