Summary

Description
English: Rutland Railway Museum: locomotive "Belvoir" Built by Andrew Barclay of Kilmarnock, the saddle tank "Belvoir" was delivered new to Harston Quarries in NE Leicestershire in January 1954 and worked there until being replaced by a diesel loco in 1967. The ironstone quarries at Harston were developed by Stanton Ironworks and owned successively by Stewarts & Lloyds and British Steel until closure in 1974. At the Rutland Railway Museum "Belvoir" appears in Stewarts & Lloyds livery. Before returning to the East Midlands it spent some time on the Stour Valley Railway in Essex. (Of the Harston quarries and railway, almost nothing remains after the reclamation of the land, although the site of the engine shed may be dimly discerned at SK847319 1747863 1461411 and the site of sidings and the course of the railway made out in the plantation north of the Harston-Denton road.)
