Summary

Description
English: Two women at work at the U.S. Army w:Signal Intelligence Service during World War II. The woman on the right is inputting ciphertext into an analog of the Japanese w:Type B Cipher Machine. The machine, or one like it, is on display at the w:National Cryptologic Museum, where it is identified as an improved version that was introduced in March 1944.
