Title
Sandy Ware : Medieval
Description
English: A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of medieval date (AD 1200-1450). The sherd is a fine gritty sandy ware of buff colour and is possibly the base from a large storage jar. Both internal and external surfaces are abraded and very minor amounts of a yellow/ green glaze are retrained on the internal surface. The sherd is flat with a small lip rising into the slope of the body of the vessel.
