DescriptionSefton Park - a close up of Eros - geograph.org.uk - 1710772.jpg
English: Sefton Park - a close up of Eros. A close up of the new copy of Eros, which was erected in 2008. In 1991 the original was discovered to be in poor condition so that has been restored and is now held in the National Conservation Centre, Liverpool. http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/conservation/reveal/gallery/sculpture/findoutmore/eros_sculpture.aspx This copy, like the original, is cast in aluminium as a bronze statue would not be able to support its own weight leaning so far forward as it does.
