Summary

Description
English: St. Mary's Church, Balscaddan, near to Balscaddan, Clonard, Tobertown and Dallyhaysy, Dublin, Ireland. Balscaddan, also 'Balscadden', translates as 'the town of the herrings'. The herrings are said to have been brought here from Newhaven on the coast <a href="https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/O1965">O1965</a>. St. Mary's R.C. church was built in 1819.
