English: St.Michaels Row Building, Bridge Street, Chester is a five-storey, E-shaped building built for the 2nd Duke of Westminster in 1909-11.[1] It has a late-Elizabethan style timbered-framed façade which hides a steel frame and has two levels of shops - one at street level and the other at "row level" (fronted by a white ballastrade). The main flight of stairs leads into the Grosvenor Shopping Centre.
This picture was taken from across the road at row level rather than street level.
