Summary

Description
English: The archaeological site of Pukara was a proto-urban settlement and the major population center of the Titicaca Basin in the 1400 a.C. al 400 d.C before the rise of the Tiwanaku state. This image shows the site's major terraced mound which includes a series of sunken temples on the summit.
