English: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Dec. 7, 2006) — Fifteen USS Oklahoma survivors along with Secretary of the Department of the Interior, The Honorable Dirk Kempthorne and Governor of Oklahoma, The Honorable Brad Henry broke ground for a USS Oklahoma Memorial, which will be built next to the USS Missouri Museum on Ford Island. More than 1,500 Pearl Harbor survivors, their families and friends from around the nation along with 2,000 distinguished guests and the general public took part in this annual observance.
