I believe these are decorative, souvenir items. I have a friend (a fellow volunteer at a historic gristmill) who bought a pair in China and tried to grind a few grains. They are much too light and unstable to grind anything. Cute, though. --Pergish1 (talk) 18:32, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
