Madhan (July 11-1947 Born - Srirangam), whose real name is Govinda Kumar, is a famous Tamil cartoonist, journalist, writer and film-critic who works for Ananda Vikatan magazine, a leading Tamil weekly. He also answers to the questions asked from the readers in Hi Madhan in Anada Vikatan which is very informative. He anchored a program in SUN news TV channel in 1999,answering viewers questions in various fields specially science and history. He wrote the dialog for Anbe Sivam, a 2003 film in which he also had a brief appearance, and is the author of Vandhargal Vendrargal, an account of Mughal rule in India. He also anchors a movie review programme named "Madhan's Thirai Paarvai" in Star Vijay television. He's the only Film critic in the world who uses a cartoon to represent a Film.
He started his own Tamil magazine 'Vin Naayagan' in association with salem vinayakamission group. But they stopped the publication of this magazine within a year of launch (1999).
