St. George of England Specialist Engineering Collage, formerly known as St. George of England High School, is a secondary school situated on Fernhill Road in Bootle, Merseyside, England, about four miles from Liverpool town centre. The school is part of Sefton LA.
The school was formed in the 1950s, and has 564 pupils. The school works with the local community and nearby schools in the Sefton area. Recently, Fernhill Sports Centre was introduced as an extension to the Physical Education Department.
St. George of England was granted Engineering College Status in September 2006, with the introduction of a new headteacher. This status grants the school and pupils extra funding, and has gone towards a restoration of rooms in the building. New technologies such as laser cutters, woodwork tools and catering equipment have also been introduced.
