At the end of the Episode, he asks Stewie if he has anything funny to say. This proves that he can understand him, which was strongly hinted in [[The Courtship Of Stewie's Father]], but some dick deleted it. Also, ''Handi-Quacks'' maybe a reference to [[Twelve Ounce Mouse]].

Sourcing

Please find sources for these references before adding them back. Otherwise I'll remove them. Sarujo (talk) 04:20, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cultural references

The title references Jimi Hendrix's Song with the same name. It is revealed that Quagmire is 61 years old. Quagmire tells Peter, Cleveland, and Joe that this is because he ingests carrots every day in some form, thus keeping him younger. In the same scene, Peter reveals his that he got his driver's license renewed drunk so that he could "get away with it when a cop pulls him over for a DUI since it would make him look normal", ignoring the fact that Joe is a police officer. When Fred Savage is proven to be Michael Moore and Rush Limbaugh, he claims to be many different people, including Malcolm Jamal-Warner, John Forsythe, and Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich. When Lois is given her contract after getting a job at FOX News, she happily runs home in a way reminiscent of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory when Charlie runs home after winning a golden ticket. She then falls and starts moaning, much like Peter did after he won a tour of the Pawtucket brewery. Though instead of grabbing her kneecap as Peter did, she grabs her right boob and does the same breathing Peter did. When pitching Handi-Quacks, Peter remarks that it'll be the "new Simpsons". After Fred Savage confesses to his multiple identities, we hear the voiceover from The Wonder Years.

Peter's show was basically a rip-off of the old cartoon Quads - just with the characters as ducks. There was a character on a board like one of them. The main character was in a wheelchair showing his butt like the original. .... Just there's no Quads wiki page so you can't really back this up. 99.240.146.252 (talk) 03:15, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It takes a lot more than a wiki page to back that up. DP76764 (Talk) 03:39, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That would be a violation per self. There has to be reliable third party sources only. Sarujo (talk) 03:46, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Previous Episode Refrences

Lois runs home and falls just like Peter did in the episode "Wasted Talent", except she hurts her right breast.

Hole in Peter's head

When Peter shows that he has a hole in his head, and that they put it on the "gay side", the guy pops up at the window. Is this a reference to ear piercing? --24.21.148.212 (talk) 05:50, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe, but you'd need to find an outside source saying that. CTJF83Talk 07:04, 24 Mrch 2009 (UTC)

Peter can understand Stewie

At the end of the Episode, he asks Stewie if he has anything funny to say. This proves that he can understand him, which was strongly hinted in The Courtship of Stewie's Father, but some dick deleted it. Also, Handi-Quacks maybe a reference to Twelve Ounce Mouse.
