Which one is which?

[edit]

I'm trying ti disambig links from various online publications by these guys; by the look of their backgrounds the d.1897 guy from Manitoba is also the author of the histories of British Columbia; but two by the same author, I think, are dated 1900 and 1902, so it must be the other guy from Ontario. But taht doesn't seem right, as the historian on the North-West was I'm pretty sure the same guy who wrote the BC one; unless the Ontarian journalist was the Begg consulted by the provincial and federal ministers in re the Alaska Boundary dispute; see nosracines.ca for a list of books by both; any idea whose is which? On name-specific entries A.Begg d.1905 wrote The Moravians in Labrador and A.Begg d.1897 wrote The Great Canadian North-West; the other page for only "Alexander Begg" lists both of these as well as several others, including hte Alaska boundary ones I'm wondering about. Was the d.1905 guy a political/diplomatic writer....it would seem to have to be him, but maybe the Alaska works were posthumous by d.1897?Skookum1 (talk) 20:13, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why the change of clash

[edit]

Just saw the change to list class - this may be only two items but why isn't ait a disambig? it's not List of historians named Alexander Begg....List of people named Alexander Begg etc....it seems such a natural name that I'm surprised there aren't more A.B.s....Skookum1 (talk) 02:31, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Returned to dab-class. List made no sense. {{subst:UserRoux/sig}}
