"25 to 30 miles" = "8 km" ???

[edit]

25 to 30 miles don't equal 8 km. Not even close. Which is the right number? -- 92.229.224.43 (talk) 21:10, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I saw this in the Chrysler headquarters museum and the stated range was 4 miles - not 25-30 miles, but it does fall within that 8km ballpark, so I'm assuming 4-5miles is a bit more accurate. If not, call the museum and tell Chrysler their sign is wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.231.86.53 (talk) 12:31, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
One reference states 4 miles (6.4 km), while another states 10 miles (16 km). Another website I read states 25 miles (40 km). I'm guessing the distance depends on where it's located. For example, if it is on top of a tall tower on a mountaintop, it's range would be larger than if it was mounted on the top of a tower in the middle of a city.QUICKWITTEDHARE CONVERSE 23:09, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

NYC Chrysler Air Raid Sirens

[edit]

In your listing of cities with CARS, there is no mention of the units in NYC. I know there was at least one, atop 30 Rockefeller Center. There had to have been more, but how many? 162.211.2.155 (talk) 09:47, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
