Intention to edit background info on the war

The detail taken up by the background of the war is taking much page space compared to detail about the medal and its recipients. The former will be amply covered in the article on the war itself so I am going to make a more summary account of the war to illustrate the distance in time from end of war to medal institution. No citations will be harmed.Cloptonson (talk) 20:41, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
