The following paragraph was removed:

Newsom did not retire until 1966. On 25 January 1963 Scott Cutlip conducted an interview with Newsom. In 1994 Cutlip included three chapters on Newsom’s life and work in the book The Unseen Power. Cutlip reports that Newsom was one of those who believe that "to earn a good reputation a client’s conduct must merit such a reputation".(Cutlip 644)

Evidently Cutlip saw Newsom as hope for a controversial industry. The above statement provided the source of our knowledge of Newsom, as well as a firm statement of the standard Newsom set for representing corporate clients.Rgdboer (talk) 20:44, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
