LAWAN IS THE ANCIENT NAME OF LAOANG, NOT LAWANG.

[edit]

According to historian William Henry Scott, the ancient name of Laoang is Lawan. This is based on the article he wrote entitled "Bingi of Lawan". Lawan could be the name given by ancient Hebrew - blooded settlers of Laoang, in the same manner that Samar was named after Samaria by this ancient Hebrew - blooded settlers. Lawan civilization might be way way earlier than that of Indonesians who have heard of the Lawan civilization and sailed towards it braving the ocean waters, because as described by Prof. Otley Beyer, the original inhabitants of the Philippines are the dawn man, who was here 250,000 years ago. As to why different sets of foreigners sailed to the direction of Lakanate of Lawan is a bit of a historical mystery, but it is a historical evidence that the Lakanate of Lawan is a prosperous ancient civilization founded by the Samarian - blooded ancestors of Datu Iberein who once headed the Lakanate of Lawan. The lakanate is so properous and powerful that it attracted settlers, migrants and adventurers even from far away places. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.250.101.146 (talk) 10:03, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
