Batman?
[edit]I notice Michael York is in the category of Batman actors. In what way? The animated series, perhaps? --Do Not Talk About Feitclub (contributions) 14:35, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Uninsightful
[edit]This article is largely a list of performances. There's almost nothing about his life, his experiences on productions, his approach to acting, what other people say about him.

Is all that detail about Babylon 5 necessary? It's practially a plot summary, and adds nothing to our knowledge of Michael York. --Hugh7 (talk) 05:36, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

More details needed
[edit]York is his stage name. Why and when did he adopt it?
His wife is a noted photographer. Where are some details?

American citizenship
[edit]York is an American citizen. I have made corresponding changes to the article. Source: http://bigthink.com/michaelyork Farrtj (talk) 02:59, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
Is it correct to call him an American actor? Surely the fact that he was born, raised and educated in England to two English parents makes him English, not an "English born American".

– Quite a well known actor, the others seem rather obscure by comparison. --Relisted. Armbrust The Homunculus 12:59, 9 May 2014 (UTC) PatGallacher (talk) 01:51, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
- It's best if nominators post their supporting evidence; however, my own searches for "michael york" -wikipedia do seem to heavily favor the actor, so I support the move. ╠╣uw [talk] 11:40, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
- My evidence is general experience of the wide world, google searches and the like although useful are by no means always decisive. PatGallacher (talk) 23:55, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Definitely looks like the primary topic to me. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:19, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

Link to wrong page
[edit]In the film part of the filmography section, it has a listing for a film called Dark Planet, but when you click on the link to go to that page, you get the Doctor Who - Decide Your Destiny: Dark Planets page, a BBC Books novel. That is not the correct page for the link. Scotius (talk) 11:55, 4 January 2019 (UTC) This is the what IMDB says about the film Dark Plant. Scotius (talk) 12:57, 7 January 2019 (UTC)

Why did popularity end in the 1970s?
[edit]The article should explain why York was popular until mid-1970s, but in the end of 1970s and in 1980s he was not in high profile film productions, almost at all. With information like that missing the article sounds like a fan page telling only about successes. Same issue reduces the value of many other articles about actors. 84.253.248.32 (talk) 07:54, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
