Standardized lion-and-sun

[edit]

I'm told that at least since 1973, Iran used this version of the lion-and-sun symbol as the standard in passports, postage stamps, birth certificates, official documents in general, and yes, even in flags. Though I can't find any specific legislation laying out the proportions of the symbol, it appears to have indeed been the case that this was the standard, or at the very least the most common rendering of the symbol during the (late) Pahlavi era. With that taken into account, shouldn't we use this version of this flag for 1906-1979 (or at the very least 1973-1979) Iran? Pescavelho (talk) 09:43, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
