Header
[edit]Page should have header:
This article relies on references to primary sources or sources affiliated with the subject, rather than references from independent authors and third-party publications. Guidelines
[edit]I would like to refer to this section of the guidlines:
Lead - a summary of the article, as guided by WP:LEAD; infobox placed here Early life/Origins - covering parents, birth, childhood and significant developments up to start of career - or the forming of the band if the article is on a band Career/History - events relevant to the musical career and/or events that sprung from it - for example movie cameos, modelling Subheadings that divide the career by era, album, musical changes.
The intro should not include minor articles in unrelated press, nor information on artist the subject has supported. As such this paragraph (along with references) should be removed:
Waters has toured in support of many of Australia's biggest hip-hop acts, including Bliss N Eso, Drapht, The Herd & Pez[2][3]. In 2009 he was a Featured Artist on Triple J Unearthed[4], an initiative run by the national youth broadcaster Triple J to expose and promote talented unsigned Australian artists - since being unearthed he has received airplay and accolades from the station.[5][6] In the same year he was also awarded a front page feature on social networking website Myspace[7][8] and received coverage in the countries most popular broadsheet The Australian.[9][10] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Angrypolarbear (talk • contribs) 02:24, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Angrypolarbear, this type of lead is not uncommon, particularly in the genre (see hilltop hoods etc.) but most particularly for stubs on smaller artists where much of the biographical material shouldn't extend far beyond the lead. Regardless, the primary issue with your current approach to editing the articles you've edited, and the main reason contributors are reverting your edits, is because they are destructive, rather than re-constructive edits. In particular the cases of WP:Blanking whilst professing prior knowledge looks very WP:single-purpose account or Sock Puppet. In a case where you feel information is not suitable for a lead, the proper course of action would be to reorganize the material, rather than simply deleting referenced material within the boundaries of WP:biography of a living person. Should you wish to reorganize any of the articles and move information from the lead to the body, in this case perhaps WP:Sandbox the articles first and share them in talk to avoid unnecessary WP:Edit War. Thanks, and good luck with your future edits! Stevezimmy (talk) 13:57, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
Natural Causes
[edit]The article referenced here:
Prior to the collapse of Nurcha Records and the eventual collapse of the band, they played more than 70 live shows across Australia.[23]
does not mention the number of shows Natural Causes played. They have an almost non-existent Internet profile therefore it seems unlikely that they have played this many shows. Regardless, the lack of citation means this information should be removed.
The following sentence is inaccurate as FBi radio does not have a "single of the week".
The first single from the release Introductions received Single Of The Week[citation needed] on FBi Radio, Sydney's largest Independent Broadcaster. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.171.25.233 (talk) 07:59, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
