The GNOME Project vs GNOME Foundation

[edit]

AFAIK the GNOME Foundation is something like KDE e.V., while The GNOME Project is something like the KDE community of people who contribute to the software. User:ScotXWt@lk 12:25, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism of GNOME

[edit]

The GNOME project has been controversial at times, as evident through clashes with the greater Linux community over the years. As an example, see the recent GTK4/libadwaita fiasco, and disagreements with the Budgie project over this.

I think this page should outline at least some of these criticisms. At present, the only material I can find documenting this is GNOME#Criticism, but it only concerns the criticism of GNOME 3.
