Is there any actual evidence of his amateur record? Out of the three links, one leads to a suspended Twitter account and the other two lead to articles that do not cite the primary source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.226.28.141 (talk) 04:01, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello guys,

is it possible to use another picture for his wiki page? The pic that is used right now doesn't really represent him well

New image

[edit]

Hello everybody. I was able to change the article picture for Lomachenko. Image was taken from Lomachenko’s official Instagram page. Aro90 (talk) 01:10, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Aro90 did the picture get reverted? (don't see it) Does a free license photo still need to be obtained? Anotherpinkfloydinthewall (talk) 19:35, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The current image is still trash and is very obviously digitally edited (by someone not so skillful...). I can't believe there is no better picture to use. One can literally Google "lomachenko" and find hundreds of photographs, in combat, during weigh-in, at press conferences, during training... Literally hundreds! 130.192.232.233 (talk) 15:29, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

– Revert back the unconsensus move. It was made without RM discussion. His name is Vasyl (Ukrainian), not Vasiliy (Russian). 91.124.117.75 (talk) 13:13, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose per 162. His name is whatever he wants it to be per WP:ABOUTSELF, and it seems he prefers Vasiliy, as do most sources from a quick Google. SnowFire (talk) 23:26, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I do not have a strong opinion, but the argument of the nominator is invalid. What is relevant in this case is how the guy is called in English reliable sources. We have plenty of those, which are reports about fights and competition protocols. These sources do exist. One need to look there and make a conclusion. What is in his passport is in this case irrelevant. (A Wikipedia article about me also does not spell my name in the same way as my passport does, nobody makes any fuzz out of it).--Ymblanter (talk) 09:40, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    Russian romanization would be Vasily btw--Ymblanter (talk) 09:45, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Typographical error

[edit]

Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo's name is misspelled in one instance as Piritapinyo; probably due to a typographical error: "Although Piritapinyo's record of 52 wins and 1 loss..." 2601:602:9B00:8360:AD4E:D0D0:34FC:196 (talk) 11:13, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

 Done – fixed typo. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 16:32, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
